Wired UK with personalized covers

Some readers of Wired magazine received the January issue of the original look. The cover seems to have been torn apart and under the motto “Your life is now open” there is a personal message to the reader. He is called by name and lists very private facts of life. It is strange to see this on the cover of a magazine.

Journalist Benjamin Cohen (Benjamin Cohen) published the cover of his magazine , filling in the black marker only the most sensitive places. He says that he was most shocked by the latest sentences in the text (Wired employees rummaged through his Twitter account).

The editors of Wired admitted that they chose the recipients of the special issue among the most influential bloggers and journalists in order to make the PR campaign as effective as possible.

It must be admitted that the idea is not quite original. A similar technique was used in 2004 by Reason magazine, when it sent readers personal versions of the magazine with satellite photos of their houses on the cover. By the way, then, too, the theme of the issue was the erosion of privacy.

Such privacy is buried and buried, but she never dies.
