Chemical Editor Chem4Word released under Open Source

Chemical Formula Editor Chem4Word was released in beta on March 22, 2010 and has since reached the figure of 250,000 downloads. This is a handy extension for Word 2007 and 2010, which allows you to create and edit chemical formulas and 2D structures in a text editor.

And finally version 1.0 came out. As planned, Microsoft published Chem4Word under the Apache 2.0 license and transferred the project under the wing of The Outercurve Foundation , so the community now has the right to study and modify the sources at its discretion. Some have already expressed a desire to add 3D and vector graphics.
