Recently, the St. Petersburg Economic Forum was held in Russia. After reviewing the program of the event, I was surprised how few issues were devoted to IT technologies and their impact on the modern economy. And I got the idea that you need not just add individual issues on the IT market to the agenda of such international forums. It is necessary to hold separate international forums dedicated exclusively to IT technologies (and electronic payments inclusive). Why ripened the need for their conduct? Because the Russian IT market is growing at a tremendous pace. The process of virtualization of the economy is underway: today in Russia you can already order your own food home by credit card, you can buy a plane ticket and do a lot of other things.
I think that inviting to an international IT Forum needs a lot of different people. For example, representatives of the legislature, so that they have a better idea of the situation in the industry and, therefore, made up laws adequate to the current situation. We need to invite users, because no matter how they may tell us how to improve the quality of services and products in the IT market. You should also invite IT representatives from other countries where the market of electronic payments is better developed than ours. They can advise us how not to scoff at the rake that they have already walked through. :) To invent a bicycle is, of course, great, but in business it can have disastrous results. It would also be good to see representatives of various IT organizations more often (RAEC, NAUET, etc.).
For now, an IT forum of this magnitude in Russia is more a dream than a reality. But you need to set yourself ambitious goals so that there is something to strive for! ')
What do you think about holding an IT Forum of this magnitude? Was there any experience of participating in such events, for example, in the international IT Forum in Khanty-Mansiysk?
