Windows Azure CDN launched in Moscow
One of the key issues of content availability is the physical location of the CDN services. For reference, the content distribution network (Windows Azure Content Delivery Network, CDN) provides developers with a global and reliable solution for delivering high-bandwidth content. The Windows Azure CDN network is implemented as nodes that are located in the USA, Europe, Asia, Australia and South America. The network caches binary objects stored at the Windows Azure platform level in order to ensure maximum throughput for delivering content to globally distributed users.
I am glad to announce that the CDN service was launched on January 1, 11 and in Moscow, which will improve the availability of content in Russia.
