Yuri Milner massively finance Russian startups
On Friday it became known that the Russian financier Yuri Milner wholesale finances 43 Silicon Valley start-ups, even without understanding what each of them does. Considering the preferential terms on which money is being offered, this made a great impression on American venture capital investors and on the entrepreneurs themselves. By the way, the overwhelming majority of them (36 out of 43 startups) agreed to accept investments on the same day, that is, on Friday.
The only sad idea in this connection is why Russian investors are looking for startups abroad, because there are dozens of promising teams in the CIS too?
And here is a worthy answer. The representative of Milner, Leonid Soloviev, told the Marker publication that “in the near future, a similar investment project will be launched in Russia - taking into account the American experience”. This is really good news.
