ALT Linux 4.0.1 Server release
The latest release of the distribution kit developed by Russian developers of ALT Linux 4.0.1 Server is available for download. The distribution is interesting because it has the OpenVZ virtualization tool (the basis on which a commercial product Virtuozzo is created) from the box. There is also a proprietary utility that allows you to configure the server via https access (ALTerator).
Promised three-year support for security updates.
On the ALT site, you can read that the distribution was tested on the servers of leading manufacturers. It also says that the work of Oracle 10g and 1C: Enterprise has been tested (server-side).
