At CES 2011, Toshiba for the first time presented a prototype of a new laptop with support for a 3D image that does not need 3D glasses. The most powerful quad-core 3D Qosmio will be available in late 2011. for now we offer to evaluate the magnificent image quality. Watch the movie under the cut.
Review and technical parameters of the 3D Qosmio and the test we will post later, but for now we will describe how it works. ')
To form an image, use the parallax effect. The device is made of a layer of material with a series of precise slits located in front of the LCD, allowing each eye to see the corresponding set of pixels, which creates a sense of volume. The built-in 3D Qosmio camera takes into account the user's position (!!!), identifies the scene and fixes the position of the eyes. Based on this data, image correction is performed.
Previously, this technology could only be used on TVs; Toshiba was the first to make it available for laptop users.
