Recently, in the Moscow office of Google Russia, #poSEEDelki took place, in which the engineers of the company represented by Danila Kornev, Rinat Safina and Yevgeny Sokolov spoke about cooperation with start-ups from Russia.
A video from the informal meeting of entrepreneurs will be available on our website. Here we offer a sammari of how Google builds work with interesting projects:
• The decision to buy startups is taken by management, but it does not communicate with projects, unless it is a super-successful and popular service like
YouTube . Therefore, if you want to offer your startup, convince in its importance for the company of familiar engineers in the Russian or (if you know such) American divisions.
• Those who do not have connections in Google can write to
Danila Korneva at danielkornev@google.com. If you are persuasive and the project seems interesting, you will be invited to the Google Russia office for a more detailed conversation.
')
• Three
NOT : Google prefers not to comment on interesting corporations and technologies, not to name specific projects that they would like to buy, and not to pay attention to the place of company registration (ie, registration in Silicon Valley is theoretically optional).
• "Google does not buy projects created to sell them to Google." Actually, the fourth is NOT. Projects are expected to have their own development strategy, and they believe that the audience is more primary than monetization.
• In any case, not all projects are destined to become part of Google. What is in general in Google ready to offer Russian startups? Expertise in the framework of start-up events and assistance with the release. The best development teams are promised trips to get acquainted with the company's engineers. Events: in addition to continuing the tradition of Google Developer Day, there are plans for other events for 2011 - details should be announced soon. There will be meetings on the basis of Google office, organized together with companies like
GreenfieldProject .
By the way, on February 1, we conduct
#poSEEDelki in Yandex , where we will analyze how interesting projects fall into the paws of Yandex. It's not about the recent acquisition of WebVisor, but about an earlier purchase - PuntoSwitcher. We will receive
Sergey Moskalev , who will share his experience and answer questions from guests.
Grigory Bakunov will drop in at the meeting with him. And, as usual on # poSEEDelk, in the second part of the meeting, any of the participants of the event will be able to submit their idea or a beginner project for discussion.
Registration is limited. If you do not have time - it does not matter.
Video and
text broadcasts will be available.
Danila Kornev - Google Russia Community Manager;
Evgeny Sokolov - Head of Google Moscow Research & Development Center;
Rinat Safin - an engineer, a member of the Russian startup Dulance, bought by Google, worked on the creation of the Google Shopping service.
