Android 3.0 (Honeycomb) is a new version of the Android platform, which is designed from the ground up for devices with large screens, in particular for tablets. It presents a new “holographic” interface theme and interaction model, which is based on multitasking, notifications and widgets.
Today, Google has
published a preview of the Android 3.0 SDK, with inconclusive APIs and system images, to allow developers to start testing their tablet apps and start exploring the new user interface model, APIs and features that will be available in Android 3.0.

Please note that applications developed using the preview platform Android 3.0 will not be able to be published in the Android Market. The final SDK for creating and publishing apps for Android 3.0 will be released in the coming weeks.
