Spammers accidentally killed a suicide bomber and thus saved the lives of dozens of Moscow residents

Everyone is well aware of the day before yesterday (January 24, 2011) terrorist act at Domodedovo Airport. True, all of us on Habrahabr, following Habrahabr’s IT orientation, have hardly ever been mentioned - and rightly so! ... - but now such a story has come to light of God, which with its IT fully deserves some right to be mentioned and to Habrahabre. ¹

It turns out that almost exactly the same gloomy and bloody horror could take place earlier - on the night of the first of January. The terrorists were ready. It was already equipped with an explosive device. Already electrically connected to his mobile phone, through which he had to receive a signal in order to remotely undermine explosives and flying fragments roughly take the life and health of dozens of Muscovites on Manezh Square ...

How were the murderers' plans violated? By chance. A simple, unsophisticated SMS-spam, congratulating on the new 2011 year, who unexpectedly came to this mobile phone in a row of thousands of other similar mobile phones, suddenly gave an early order about an explosion and swept the unlucky terrorist into a mess of blood throughout her lair. Shocked by all that had happened, her accomplices hurried to retreat before the arrival of the special services. But this house was already "lit up", and the tenant of his special services later captured in remote Volgograd.

Reading this story , is it possible to believe that good miracles do not happen on Christmas? ...

But all this does not mean, gentlemen, that spam does not need to be fought. Or that in the fight against terrorism can only rely on miracles.
