Release of a pirated version to increase sales on the AppStore

Game developer Punch 'Em! laid out the statistics for the period when an illegal version of his game appeared on the Internet. Sales have doubled.



The reason is that illegal users promote free advertising and conduct effective viral marketing. Thus, it makes sense to release and even advertise a pirated version of the game on a par with the licensed one (of course, you need to advertise them separately in different forums).
