HTC Android Developers Contest 2.0 has started in Ukraine

HTC has announced the start of the second contest of Android-developers in Ukraine.

Registration has started today, and the HTC Android Developers Contest 2.0 starts on February 1 and runs until April 30. During this period, developers will have the opportunity to upload their applications to the competition site .

As in the past year , the main condition of the competition is that the application must be new and not published in the Android Market until it is submitted. Localization of the application for the Ukrainian market is considered as an additional advantage.

During the first competition, held in spring 2010, about 40 applications were developed. The main criteria by which the programs were evaluated were the innovativeness and originality of the developed application, the use of all platform features, the interface and localization of the program for the Ukrainian market.

This time, the organizers introduced a number of new criteria: first of all, the application rating will be affected by the overall usage impression and compliance of the program with Android standards, that is, the program should not only work well, but also have an appropriate interface and solve real user problems.

The prize fund this year has also changed. The winner of the competition will receive 50 thousand hryvnia and a Desire HD phone. There are prizes for the second (20 thousand hryvnia and Desire HD) and the third (Desire HD) places. Also, users and site visitors will be able to choose the best program for their version, the developer of which will receive HTC Desire.
