In the Indian state of Gujarat, a powerful tidal power station will soon be built. The project is being developed in collaboration with the British company Atlantis Resources Corporation, which is developing turbines for this power plant. The places where the turbines will be located have already been determined, and construction work will soon begin. It is worth noting that the initial capacity of the power plant will be 50 megawatts, and then the plant's capacity will be increased to 250 megawatts. The project is considered as commercial, so with its help the authorities of the state of Gujarat hope to receive additional income.
Before starting the construction of the plant, it is also necessary to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the possible impact of the plant on the environment of the region, but, according to experts, the new power plant will not exert particular pressure on the environment. It is also worth noting that the project is very expensive - its implementation is estimated at 165 million US dollars, and possibly more.

A similar project will also be implemented in South Korea, on Lake Sihva. The power of this power plant will also be increased to 250 megawatts. Indians are going to be the first to build their power station, wishing to become leaders in the implementation of alternative energy technologies. By the way, India is the third country in the world in terms of the consumption of combustible minerals. At the same time, about 80 thousand Indian villages and villages are left without any power supply at all.
"Tidal energy" in India is not as popular as, for example, wind power. The fact is that tidal power stations are quite expensive, and not many regions can use this technology.
At the moment, the most powerful tidal power plant in the world is located in France, its capacity reaches 240 megawatts.
