Scott Guthrie announced in his blog the release of the final version of the Web Farm Framework Version 2.
The Web Farm Framework is an add-on to the IIS7 server that is designed to quickly create web farms, fill content, scale, use load balancers, and centrally manage multiple servers at the same time.
In the second version of the tool, according to the blog entry, the following features are added:
Workflow Builder tool for defining and scheduling tasks to be performed on all servers;
Windows Credential Store support allows you to save administrator privileges used for inspecting servers in the Windows Credential Store secure storage;
support for third-party load balancers through the Web Farm Framework extensions will allow you to integrate the Web Farm Framework with hardware balancers instead of using the IIS Application Request Routing module;
improved support for operations with MSDeploy;
improved support for the synchronization of a large number of files.
