Poker will return to movie screens
Poker returns to the movie screen in the new film "Lucky Man" with Eric Bana and Drew Barrymore.
It was planned that the film will be released in September 2006, but then the output was postponed to March 2007 and then, finally, the final date was set - mid-May.
The film tells the story of a young cash player (Bana), who is trying to win in the world famous poker tournament of the 2003 WSOP, relying on his amazing luck that accompanies him at the poker table. However, outside the gaming table, the life of the lucky is stingy and joyless, until, one day, in one of the clubs in Las Vegas he meets a young singer (Barrymore).
The director is Curtis Hanson, who also directed the famous film “The Eighth Mile”.
