A couple of days ago I bought myself an Amazon reader (
Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi ), I bought it along with the cover. On the second day of use, the Kindle rebooted a couple of times while reading. An Internet search brought me to
this thread of the-ebook.org
forum .
It turns out that the reason for the reboots and hangs is the original Kindle cover without a flashlight (it has now been removed from sale). There is something with static electricity. To solve the problem is very simple:
1. Call Amazon support service - 1-877-453-4512 or 1-206-922-0844 with Skype, the call seems to be free.
2. Explain the problem to the operator.
3. The operator returns the cost of the cover and delivery (I have $ 48.47) on the card and gives a promotional loan of $ 25 to buy a new cover.
4. We wait until the funds arrive on the card (write up to 10 days).
5. We buy a
cover with a flashlight (there are no problems with it).
I hope this topic will be useful to my fellow misfortunes.
The rest of the reading room is very pleased.
Amazon is great.
UPD DIY fans can sandpaper cover fixings with sandpaper or use antistatic spray for clothes.
UPD 2 Communicate with the operator will have in English.
