Kinect + projector = fireballs in augmented reality
Elliot Woods has been experimenting with the possibilities of Xbox Kinect for a long time (who only now does not torment this device) and augmented reality, and regularly uploads the results of his work to the Network. At this time, Woods decided to try to create in the augmented reality fireballs that were used by the heroes of the game Street Fighter, the one who probably had many fans of this game on Habré. All this looks very interesting, but Woods considers as the greatest achievement the possibility of creating a virtual light source that moves along a very real wall, painting around again, a virtual shadow. The duration of the video is more than five minutes, at the very beginning Woods talks about his idea and its technical implementation (of course, in his native English language). If you get bored and you want to look at those fireballs (I hope I spell that word correctly) with sound effects, rewind right to the end of the fourth minute. Well, those who are interested in all this can watch the video from the very beginning.
By the way, I placed it in “abnormal programming”, because I decided that this section is most suitable for the topic. If you think not, advise another section.
