“SHAPE Services, the author of the well-known mobile multiplatform client IM +, announced the release of a new product -
IM + for Skype .
At the moment, IM + for Skype is in beta testing and is available for Java-enabled phones, as well as Symbian S60 and Palm OS devices. As Java version of the application works on all Java-compatible phones, hundreds of millions of users around the world will be able to use Skype services.
IM + for Skype is a full-fledged Skype client and will allow you to use the following features:
- Free calls between Skype subscribers;
- Calls to landline and mobile phones at SkypeOUT rates;
- Text messages between Skype contacts;
- Full support for the status of presence in the network.
It is expected that the final version of IM + for Skype will appear in late June, and the next step will be the release of IM + for Skype for PDAs and smartphones running Windows Mobile.
