The national job search portal CareerCast has published the ranking of the 200 best and worst professions at the beginning of 2011. The list is compiled on the basis of official statistics and expert assessments of various factors, including the physical and emotional conditions of the environment, physical effort, stress, average wages and unemployment prospects ( methodology ).

The top 30 included for the first time so many “computer” professions: software developer (1st place), computer systems analyst (5th place), technical writer (26th place) and computer programmer / coder (28th a place).
