Currently, iPhones are sold in the US only with connection to the AT & T operator. However, it appears that Apple’s agreement with AT & T may cease to be exclusive in the near future. Operator Verizon sent invitations to the event, which will be held on Tuesday, and,
according to the Wall Street Journal, there will be announced the start of sales of iPhones connected to Verizon. There is no official confirmation of this information, however, the previous time, when WSJ confidently wrote about a statement that was not yet made by Apple (informing in advance that “The Event in iTunes” would be the appearance of The Beatles records), their information turned out to be accurate, so all sources OK.
Last year, several US iPhone owners
sued Apple and AT & T, claiming that their cooperation violates consumer rights and harms competition.
