Hello, dear readers Habr. I want to share with you one simple way to determine which social networks to look for customers.
For the research we will use the following social networks: Vkontakte, Facebook, My World and Odnoklassniki. Which network brings us the most delicious customers and which one should be the hardest to work on?
To answer this question, you need to understand which of these networks are more popular among users. The first idea was to make an option so that users could specify links to their profiles in their profile. Made. Users are not willing to add their data, and wait a long time until it all works.
Another idea came: I noticed that in each of these social networks, there is an option - invite a friend who imports an email address book and shows you that there are already such users, but you can invite these.
')
For a start, I collected the addresses of users who have made a payment at least once. Over the past year they turned out to be 609.
I got myself mail to mail.ru, and imported the address book from my addresses there. I chose mailru - because during recent events Facebook is not allowed to import from gmail.
Within 10 minutes I already got something like the following picture:

As you can see, most have an account in Vkontakte and My World, then go to Facebook and Odnoklassniki. Well, everything is in principle, as I expected, because VKontakte is already the most popular among them. Perhaps there and need to look?
But let's not hurry. Now I want to know how many payments were made by users of each of these social networks. To do this, we need to associate the user's email with the number of payments. Everything would be fine, but the classmates do not show us the e-mails of users that were found, their names are simply written there, but it shows 60 addresses of addresses that can be invited. Therefore, for a long time and surely by the method of exclusion from our address book of these 60 addresses we repeat the operation again and again. Until classmates remain in the address book. It is better to use gmail here since it is very convenient to work with the address book there and much faster than with mailru.
Filing up the statistics, I got the following picture:

If it happened that the user is in several networks, then his payments, I counted all his social. networks.
Units is the local currency that users buy.
Units per user are how many units each user has bought on average.
Total operations is the number of purchases that the user made.
Units per operation is the average number of units that a user buys per purchase.
And what do we see? Absolutely opposite picture to my first conclusion. As it turned out, even classmates have fewer users, yet the purchasing power is the highest. Each user bought an average of 74 units, which is 1.2 times more than VKontakte purchasing power. And at one time, the user buys an average of 10 units, which is almost 2 times more than the rest of the social. networks.
Also at the same time made statistics on methods of payment: Lead SMS. The most profitable types of payment for me are Paypal and “Others” as we see their share in Odnoklassniki is also the highest.
The conclusion for this case: to concentrate all their forces on Odnoklassniki.
