It is assumed that, due to the hardware protection mechanisms built into the technology, it will be possible to buy new items simultaneously with their entry into the Blu-ray and DVD market.
“ This technology will give users access to high-definition content, such as movies, ” comments Tom Kilroy , vice president of Intel and head of marketing and sales around the world, commenting on the new service. “ We agreed with the studios, so you’ll see the Warner Brothers and Fox programs already at the launch of Sandy Bridge, then a few more studios will follow. They are eagerly joining our platform for distributing high-quality Internet content to the end user.
