It is strange that this event passed by this blog.
December 30th on XDA (
proof ) this topic appeared, in which the notorious Cotulla laid out ... yes, that MAGLDR is a downloader for Android firmware in NAND!

')
In short - what is NAND and why should it?
In short, all attempts to launch Android (and other Linux-based systems) on Windows Mobile-based phones boiled down to building the OS and launching them via HaRET, which unloaded Windows and transferred control to the Linux kernel. However, Windows Mobile was still needed to launch Android.
The disadvantage of this approach is that everything is tied to the SD card (respectively, in theory, energy consumption suffers).
Android firmware in NAND means that Windows no longer needs Windows Mobile and HaRET to run Android - Android will become the main (and only) OS on your HD2.
Do you need it?
Everyone has their own opinion on this issue. I use Desire HD firmware via HaRET - and I am quite satisfied. Winda does not interfere, but I do not want to install this new bootloader yet - you never know ... And if you suddenly want to experiment, or if you are tired of Wind, then this topic is for you.
Can this thing kill my HD2?
Everything is as usual - you do everything at your own peril and risk. In general, everything seems to be all right, and this bootloader can be removed, but on XDA (
link ) someone has already ditched their HD2. Perhaps he was just unlucky.
Therefore, no one is responsible for all the actions that you perform with your device!
Any firmware is done at your own peril and risk !!And where to get?
Installation instructions and a list of firmware available for firmware in NAND are available in the relevant
topic on the forum w3bsit3-dns.com. In the same place, by the way, and discussion of the loader and firmwares.
PS I completely forgot - the owners of T-Mobile HD2 are also in the subject line - there are also NAND firmware for them :)
