In November of this year, the company Opera Software has
published statistics on the mobile Internet over the past year.
Among other data, this report shows a steady increase in the number of users of the mobile version of the Opera Mini browser: in the Latin American region, in East Asia, in Africa. But of greater interest is the
last part of the report - there are top 30
mobile sites and
mobile phones based on data for November 2009 and November 2010:

As it is not difficult to notice, 9 devices from nokia and one apple are in the top 10 of mobile devices. It is noteworthy that the phones of
other well-known manufacturers are not included in this list.
Who are they, the most popular mobile phones for surfing 2010?
Analysis of the average cost from
Yandex.Market gives us the following price histogram for “top” devices minus the ghostly iPhone:

It should be noted that the two devices (on the chart they have the lowest price) resolution is 128x160 pixels, i.e. about two times the size of the standard

Based on this, it can be concluded that among the vast majority of mobile Internet users, the number of “advanced” users with modern “tricked” smartphones is vanishingly small. Undoubtedly, there are many much more convenient devices on the market for mobile surfing, but they are in demand only among a narrow layer of technogs that are not noticeable on the general background.
However, these conclusions are not true for the
United States , apparently, American mobile phone users have long forgotten that mobile devices are divided into smart phones and regular phones:
