The 10-inch tablet from ViewSonic attracted three main advantages:
- Tegra 2 from nVidia, which promised high system performance and long battery life
- Lack of binding to the mobile operator and the need to buy a “data plan” (+ $ 20 monthly in the USA)
- Attractive price

Enumerate the specifications stated by the manufacturer, it makes no sense - this is the link above. So the review is about personal feelings.
Inside the tablet is Android 2.2
The first impression after turning on the device: the system slows down. I compare it with my HTC Evo - the scrolling is faster, the subjective response to touching the screen is less. Also, to everyone's amazement, it turned out that
there was no pill:
- Android Market
- gmail
- cards
- flash
In addition, it is impossible to change widgets.
But
depohmel assured that everything would be fine now, and went to get root.
However, even here a surprise was expected: the first time the tablet was turned on, it asked for an update, after which it was impossible to get root, because this version of the update had not yet been hacked. I managed to reinstall the ROM (“kill” tapntap) and get access in this way - thanks to xda-developers.com.
After reinstalling the ROM, all the standard applications mentioned above worked, the system started to work faster, HD and 3D graphics worked normally. The tablet, as it turned out, quietly holds 5 hours of flash streaming video. Perhaps the only positive point (thanks Tegra).
In spite of this:
- it was impossible to change the boor loader to boot from a flash card
- Skype was constantly collapsing
- it is impossible to change the standard keyboard (for some reason, the choice was only from US & UK English) - and without a Russian keyboard it’s sad
- from several file explorer it was not possible to get access to either the Windows or the Linux network ball
- 10 inches is still not a very convenient size - it is hard to hold with one hand (although it is lighter than an ipad), and when typing text your fingers do not always reach the letters in the center of the keyboard
In general, passed back, now we are waiting for the pills from Motorola.
