AirPlay - now in Linux
A week ago, programmer Erica Sadun introduced the program AirPlayer, which creates a special service Bonjour AirPlay, which allows you to disguise Mac on Apple TV.
And the day before yesterday (December 20) a video was posted on YouTube, where the same thing was implemented, only in Linux:

It was used: computer with Linux Ubuntu, media player XBMC, Avahi (analog Bonjour) and a script in Python . And, of course, you need an iPhone or iPad.
Another good news: Plex service (which will be installed on all LG TVs) is based on AirPlay . And this means that in the near future we will be able to broadcast video on AirPlay both on any computers and on TVs.
