The first cloud statistics

So, a month since the start of work. (We started advertising a little later, but the first customers appeared just a month ago), the opportunity to look at the first numbers appeared.

Approximately 47% of the virtual machines ordered by customers are turned off by the owners. The value varies from 38% in the evening to 58% at night.

When analyzing statistics, I divided clients into two groups — some actually use the machine at work, others — not (most likely, those who came to “see”).

Among the most used ones, the most “expensive” car cost the client 1138 rubles per month, the distribution of expenses was as follows:

ResourcequantityAmount
Machine time158.94 hours158.94 rub
RAM304.01 GB * h152 rubles
Drive: Read Requests92.016 mln. Pieces276.04 rub.
Drive: write requests12.641 mln. Pieces37.92 rub.
Disk: read volume2167.308 GB216.73 rub.
Disk: recorded volume269.513 GB26.95 rub.
Disk storage22.110 TB * hour110.55 rub.
Network: received54.187 GB10.83 rub.
Network: sent148.426 GB148.42 rub.

This machine works with Debian Squeeze (32) settings, automatically adjustable memory from 256 to 2048 MB, 30GB disk. Judging by the download, which I can see outside, it works quite well for myself, the processor shows the download, jumping from 10 to 60%, the disks rustle, the network is active.

The cheapest car among the "active" ate about 200 rubles (approximate, since this machine works only for three weeks).

Among idle machines, the numbers are much lower (at about the same settings). The cheapest car (apparently, the client tested it, turned it off and decided to leave it “just in case”) cost the client 15 rubles - it was turned off on the first day and since then there is only disk storage. The most expensive is 170 rubles (for some reason the client made a 200GB disk and periodically turns on / off. Backups?).
