Android 2.2 on HTC Wildfire

Tonight, my HTC Wildfire quite unexpectedly suggested that I install a system update to Android 2.2. Because conversations around the expectations of this update were made long ago, I, without hesitation, clicked the “OK” button.

10 minutes the device blinked and showed different progress indicators, then rebooted and showed the updated system. Everything works, updates are visible to the naked eye: the opportunity to work in the access point mode appeared, the “sound” and “screen” were separated in the settings, the last running applications now show 8 pieces, not 6 (and the visual style has changed), the application for GMail has been updated (added some features).

This is how all of a sudden updates come. Or did I miss something?
