On the air, the startup company “NORMAL PEOPLE” and today we will discuss the process of creating our latest project WEBONMAP.ru.

Idea:

Autumn 2009, the idea to make a site for sites and their owners was born in our small company. As usual, it all started with an idea, so that the idea began to be realized, we took paper and a pencil and began to write and draw. As we know, the process of presenting an idea in writing is a sobering idea, but not in our case.

Actually the idea was to create a fabulous map on which each site owner can place their home. The house, which is a business card of the site and its owner.

The first steps:

In order to structure everything, we naturally put all the ideas on paper, these are truisms, and after writing the idea, we need to let the paper rest. If after all these actions, after a while, the idea seems all the same attractive, you need to start its implementation and it is worth remembering that you need to sincerely believe in what you are doing, otherwise nothing will come of it.

Start of implementation:

Initially, everything looked extremely rosy: They wrote TZ, found developers, set a plan for the project for 2-3 months, started to work.
We would like to note that we are developing a project of such a scale for the first time, so we didn’t naturally fit into any 2-3 months. Every week there were new ideas, creative throwing in conjunction with technical problems. Initial TZ corresponded in real time.

Registered domain bought hosting and drove. The days were replaced by weeks, weeks and months, and as a result, the project that they wanted to launch in a few months had already been stretched for a whole year.

About money:

Since we ourselves never realized our idea from the point of view of technical implementation, we turned to the company of developers. Naturally, it is necessary to pay for the work of competent developers, in our case we did not attract third-party funds and financed the development using our own savings.

About investor search:

At one point, it was decided to search for an investor. Taking advantage of the lists of investment funds, they sent out about thirty letters with an offer, the result of the fourth week of waiting “no answer, no greeting.” We continue the search.

But at a difficult time, DISLY-Internet came to our rescue. The company responded to one of our letters and helped with the launch of our project, at the moment it is the only ray of light in the current situation.

About web-ready.ru contest:

They submitted an application for an “Open Competition of Innovative Projects in the Field of Internet Technologies Web Ready”. As a result, they did not even enter the final thirty.

Total:

Today, WEBONMAP.ru project is launched at the MBT stage. What we want to inform in advance the first download may take some time, when you restart the project, the download will be many times faster.
