Meet the new Qubrit

Good day, gentlemen. I have already written a couple of times on Habré about our Qubrit project , which we started as a project “Virtual Business Cards” and ended up with “Social Network” with blackjack and you know what.

Chapter 1: Thoughts about the development of a startup

Qubrit-9 months. This is a time limit. Usually, during such a period of time, many projects either fly up like a rocket, or become a dead horse (see the term “dead horse” in economics).

Imagine that you are a fisherman and your network is your project (startup) and with this network you are trying to catch as many fish as possible. If your net is not good enough, the fish will swim away and never come back. This unfortunately happens to many startups. The zero level of any project is when users come and go without returning. And many projects remain at this level forever.

By launching Qubrit as a “virtual business cards” service, we simply made the wrong network (for fishing). As a result, we tried to change the design, add new features, etc., until in the evening we decided to start everything from scratch. And they made practically new Qubrit, which today we are positioning as a full-fledged social network for the exchange of information, photos, search for professionals, etc.

Chapter 2: All New Qubrit

The main innovation is the ability to run your mini blogging. You can place other people's posts by clicking on Share this. Yes, I know that this is similar to Twitter, but we have no limit of 160 characters, and you can attach photos directly to the text of the post.

Perhaps one of the interesting introductions was the ability to change the Account Type: personal - where your first and last name and business are written - where your data is hidden and the name of the company you provided is shown.

Chapter 2: Photo Albums

In the new Qubrit, you can create full-fledged albums.

Photo in the album. You can view, edit, give access to your friends and so on.

Plans and Conclusion

Soon we will introduce Portfolio and search for people and professionals by tags that they assign to themselves. For example, I marked myself in my portfolio as “designer, Moscow, web”. And if someone will search according to the words “web designer in Moscow”, then my profile will appear in the search results. Plus, many other small and useful features, such as search for vacancies on the map and recommendations of vacancies from friends (social recruitment).
