App Studio in uTorrent 2.2: what to expect?

Not so long ago, a new version of the popular BitTorrent client literally came out last month. In addition to minor innovations, among which is the built-in support for the uTP protocol, the client has acquired App Studio.

App Studio is a plugin connection system and a catalog of these plug-ins themselves in one bottle. As it became known, the development team debugged this system for several months before introducing it into a stable build.

The modules presented in the official repository are divided into 2 groups. The first group - plug-ins that extend the functionality of the client. The second group - plug-ins tied to online services. They provide access to legal content - audio, video, games, etc.



Among the plug-ins that extend the functionality, you can select except that uMap (which displays active peers on the map) and Virus Guard (based on BitDefender).

However, it can be predicted that the service can become quite widespread, turning an ordinary client into a multimedia center. All the copyright holders need to do is to give the opportunity to use their online services (watching videos and listening to music) directly from the application, creating the appropriate plug-ins and adding them to the repository.
