The peculiarity of Wikileaks as an information portal of a new type and features of perception aberrations of reality that can be initiated by it, consciously or not, have already become the subject of discussion at Habré .

An interesting means of identifying the true intentions of the creators of Wikileaks can be the study of the geography of the distribution of mirror servers of the resource on the globe, as well as localization in space and in time of the information presented in it. The last task has already begun to solve, but now it came to the servers.

Information about all 1334 servers Wikileaks localized Lawrence Muller using the geo database GeoLite City . Data is collected in a KML file available for download . You can open it in Google Earth, or, for example, in another open geointerface - ERDAS TITAN. Reduced versions can be viewed, for example, in Google Maps.

This task, that is, the problem of misinformation, due to the specific features of the circulation of information on the Internet and social networks, can be solved without distorting the information (ie, without intentional lies and direct disinformation), only by shifting the focus of user attention to this or that document. That is, due to bias, due to the arbitrary choice of material for promotion in the media and on the Internet from the bottomless stocks of Wikileaks.
