Xmarks continues to work as before.

Yes, today we received the latest proof that the Xmarks bookmark and passwords synchronization service, which I have been using for a couple of years, will stay afloat and will not disappear from view. Yes, there have already been news that Xmarks was bought by LastPass, and that now both applications will be developing together. However, today we received a confirmation email sent by the guys from Xmarks. This message, of course, came not only to me, but to all customers who indicated their e-mail before.



The message says that Xmarks was bought by LastPass (it seems someone doubted :-)), plus the value of the purchase is shown for all of us.

1. Xmarks remains afloat, and works just like the service has worked before;



2. Xmarks now offers Premium service for 12 evergreens per year. This includes applications for the iPhone and Android, priority support and other goodies. And yes, if you now buy both applications at once, Xmarks and LastPass, then a discount of 33% goes for everything.



In general, the letter is quite optimistic, and I am glad that Xmarks was purchased by a related service, whose management obviously will not drastically change the way the purchased service works.



It is also interesting that the company immediately released two relevant, in my opinion, applications for the iPhone and for Android, which was not there before.



In general, the good news about the right and beloved (personally by me, for example) service, which works as it should - quietly, without unnecessary reminders and advertising. Who needs a premium service, he will buy it, no — he will work with what he has worked with before.



Before the New Year, it remains only to wish the long life of Xmarks, at the same time LastPass and other, equally good and necessary services.
