First impressions of the Motorola Milestone 2

Immediately I say - this is my first Android device, so if there are questions regarding
, I will answer as I can. The phone was ordered in an English online store,
November 23 (European sales began on November 22), on December 7 he was already in my hands in
Taganrog. It costs 310 pounds + 18 pounds for delivery. Total, depending on the current course,
like your bank card and your bank - it will be written off somewhere between 16 and 17 tr.

Housing

The case is metal, the keyboard is plastic. Design relative to the first generation
apparatus has changed slightly, but for the better. (The front - metal, like and
chrome, but at the same time matte, looks very interesting. Behind a nice soft touch
on metal). Purely male apparatus in appearance. The keyboard has also been improved (disappeared
joystick keys increased and became convex). Build quality is top notch
Motorola did not disappoint this time.

Below the screen are four touch buttons (functions, main menu, back button and search button).
Right camera buttons and volume control. On the left is a micro-USB connector, and on top -
power button and 3.5 mm mini jack.

Now impressions yourself

You take the apparatus in your hands and feel that you are holding an expensive and high-quality thing. None
backlash, everything fits well. The installed MotoBlur, it seemed to me, absolutely
not needed and slowed down a little homescreen and main menu, so it was demolished.

The camera is not a fountain, it removes and all right. There are no problems with Wi-Fi, it keeps in touch well. Bluetooth is not
tried it. The screen is very like, multitouch is naturally present.

Video plays, pictures shows (HD video in MP4 and WMV perfectly played from
the boxes. For avi and other we put standard players). The quality of music playback
good, really worse than in my ROKR E8 (he has no competitors here). Radio did not find, apparently as
and in the first Milestone it is inactive in the firmware, so I'm waiting for the craftsmen.

Installed standard applications from Google and more. Initially there is a QuickOffice.
Games are going well, the presence of an accelerator affects.

With my level of operation (20 minutes of conversation, several sms, video hour, hour or two Wi-Fi,
a few hours just studying the device, applications, games) the device lives for two working days,
Sutra removed from charging - the next night I put back.

Below are a few photos. For quality, do not scold, shot in a bar of soap, I'm not a photographer, lighting

Total

Pros:

- Chic view, cool body assembly, no backlash.
- Physical keyboard, improved compared with the first milestone.
- 8GB of internal memory + 8 on the supplied memory card.
- Player pulls without straining HD MP4 video.
- Android 2.2 out of the box (although 2.3 already left)
- Very smart machine, especially if you put a launcher pro.
- Cool screen.

- many more, I do not know what to write

Minuses:

- Not particularly impressive is the amount of work time from one charge (typical for all androids)
- Originally installed motoBlur somewhat slows down the desktop and most importantly
menu (quite a bit, but noticeable. Absolutely not annoying) Therefore, it was set
LaucherPro
- Somewhat bulky and heavy (like the first Mylston)
- Since The device is from England, it is not the PCT, by default it is not Russified. We put morelocale
and the device becomes Russified, but not completely, for example, all settings on
Inglish remain. To Russify the keyboard set Russian Keyboard. To send SMS in Russian - we put GoSMS
- Includes English charging, so I charge from USB. Although you can try and
charging from Rokr E8 or V8 (they have less current)
- Neponyatki with built-in 8GB of memory - while they only put the application. And at
When connecting to a PC, only the memory card is visible.

For now. Ask questions if that's interesting. I will answer as I can.

Not bad video
