BMW burns advertising in the eyes of cinema visitors

BMW has begun to use in the German cinemas a new technology for advertising Flash Projection, similar to the "25th frame". A stencil with the BMW logo is placed behind the screen, and during advertising a powerful flash of light is fed through it. As a result, all viewers who are looking at the screen at that moment, unwittingly receive a copy of the brand on the retina of the eye. If you close your eyes, the letters BMW become visible. Advertising is specially made in such a way that after the flash at the end of the commercial, viewers are asked to close their eyes and “dream”.

This technology is explained in more detail in the video from BMW .

This is reminiscent of a two-year-old story again from Germany, where the guy walked the streets with an improvised projector (Image Fulgurator) that worked from a slave flash (that is, a flash that turns on when another flash flashes). This projector automatically added different words to all photos if the lens of someone else's camera was directed towards the projector.

In principle, a good technique. Can be used during business presentations.
