Google Body Browser

Today came across a Google Body Browser . IMHO is just an amazing thing, even for those who are not engaged in medicine.

Although it is really interesting to visually see-twist where the stomach is, how nerves go, etc., but for me, as a web developer, this is the first really obvious example of sensible use of WebGL - without installing any plug-in in Chrome 9+ and FireFox4. Additionally, decompression of resources on the client is used.

Separately, I would like to mention the possibility of transferring direct links to a specific species / organ, for example, like this, and the ability to search for organs with something similar to Google Instant (at the top right - inbotbox can be easily overlooked).

Perhaps this is not a completely accurate blog, but IMHO is a good example of using web technology “to the point”, and not just a demonstration of another feature.

Video from the Google Web Browser demo with WebGL Camp can be viewed here .
