Spammers stole a database of addresses of users of the portal deviantart.com

A few hours ago, deviantart.com began sending email messages warning users that their partner’s Silverpop Systems had stolen email address databases and possibly usernames / dates of birth. More detailed information is not yet available, but all users are assured that access to other personal data was not obtained.

Silverpop Systems managed mailings on behalf of Deviantart and served over 13 million users. At the moment, Deviantart.com stopped working with them.

Text of the letter:

Silverpop Systems, Inc. This is probably part of a sweep by spammers. As a result, email addresses to deviantART members were copied. Corresponding usernames can be removed.

It’s not a problem.

As a member of the deviantART, it occurs. Unfortunately spammers are an unavoidable part of living on the Web.

Spam to your email. Experts have been scammed out and you should be cautious. If you’re trying to find out what you are looking for.

It would be no longer necessary to hold it.
