A study of the Dutch shows that Anonymus is not so anonymous
Over the past few months, Anonymus made a lot of interesting things. In particular, the Anonymus put on the day the site of an Indian company that collaborated with the so-called “copyright holders,” but the Anonymus launched several attacks on PayPal on MasterCard and Visa, after they refused to transfer money to the Wikileaks account. It is clear that not one or even ten people acted - most likely, talking about several thousand anonymous users, DDoS-yushchih all these resources. As a result, only one Dutch hacker was captured. We will not now go into the moral details of what happened, we better pay attention to the study conducted by experts and the University of Twente, the Netherlands.
These experts paid attention to the software used by Anonymous, most of them work with LOIC (Low Orbit Ion Cannon), you can download this software without any problems. However, the use of LOIC from your PC, as it turned out, is fraught for a hacker - there are several identification methods at once, due to which the anonymus ceases to be so. ')
“The attack carried out by Anonymus can be compared to a huge pile of documents sent to a specific address. True, the envelope with this pile still contains the sender’s address, ”the researchers report says. Experts from the University of Twente argue that it is possible to identify the anonymus in a few months, so it may well happen that after some time, participants in a campaign against payment systems will be found and punished.
In principle, the study is not so new, it is clear that many types of attacks, especially attacks by LOIC, are really not so difficult to track. So one day, our anonymous anonymus may well hear a knock on the door, on the other side of which there is a law enforcement representative. An interesting situation, though rather predictable. Below you can watch a video posted by a group of Anonymus, yes, yes, those Anonymus, on YouTube.
