PBX Yeastar MyPBX 1600 - Iron Asterisk
Another article about Asterisk. On the basis of which a mini-PBX was made. This is not a computer, it is a separate piece of hardware, made on the basis of the Blackfin chip. This is the Yeastar MyPBX Standard 1600 PBX, which recently came into my hands for the purpose of testing.
This small review is a response to the statement of cosmobot , which, in the commentary to the article “ Asterisk for corporate clients, ” said that “To advise using an asterisk for a small / medium non-IT business as a standard PBX in my opinion is slyness”.

And now some impressions. First, this PBX is very compact. In the photo she is a little more than a book.
Secondly, the PBX firmware is Asterisk. The manufacturer of the PBX has packaged Asterisk in 256 MB of flash memory and launched it to work on the Blackfin BF537 processor from Analog Devices. That's cool! No noise, not dusty and does not ask for food. The photo shows that the integrated circuit is not great.
Layout boards - optionally in any form up to 16 ports. The photo shows boards for 2 FXO-ports (red) and 2 FXS-ports (green).
Now it is a little about the web interface for management of automatic telephone exchange. Supports multiple languages, including Russian.
According to the features of the analog part of the PBX, there is nothing to say - the PBX as a PBX. Supports standard PBX functions - analog lines, analog subscribers, incoming call distribution, outgoing call restrictions.
Of the interesting buns - built-in multi-level IVR, the possibility of conferences *, SIP-trunks, built-in "music on hold", recording conversations, call detail (CDR). To implement this functionality on a traditional small PBX, installation of additional devices is often required, and here it is all out of the box.
* Conferences - conferences are collected as follows: several participants dial up to a specific internal number at the same time, enter a pin code, call themselves and connect in a conference room - like an online chat, only by voice.
All configuration files, CDR, call recordings can merge over the network into a shared folder.
Among the drawbacks of this PBX, it is worth noting the need for a separate purchase of a license to use the G.729 codec. There is no support for T.38, which limits the use of faxes over IP at this PBX. There is no possibility to configure VPN connections (sometimes there is a need to use). Well, the setting for processing incoming calls is a bit flawed. All this is a claim to the 1st version of the PBX, perhaps it will be better further :)

What about the money? The price of this PBX is formed as follows: the base unit is about 18 thousand rubles, and the boards of 2 FXS or FXO ports each - 2.5 thousand rubles each. a piece. Thus, the maximum price for this PBX with 16 analog ports is 38 thousand rubles.
