Help in assessing the content of sites

After reading the article on FaceSearch - a search with a new face , the idea arose how to try to make the use of the Like button more efficient, because now it shows only those pages (sites) that are favored by the Facebook user. But you often want to point out those pages that you don’t want to see anymore in the search results.

My proposal is simple, although certainly not new :).

You need to give users the ability to rate the pages on which they end up as a result of a search, surfing the net. How to do it?

First, to make an extension for browsers (for example, Google for Chrome can supply it in a standard form, without additional installation, and Yandex implement it in Yandex.Bar) similar to WOT , but which will evaluate not only the domain, but also the pages themselves. It is even possible to make two buttons on the panel side by side - “I liked” / “I didn't like it”. I think that it will not be difficult for many to evaluate the pages viewed, especially since the browser toolbar is always before your eyes, while the Like Facebook button has to be found. For more advanced and active users, it is possible to make it possible to specify the “interestingness” of the page in the same way as in WOT , i.e. not discretely liked or disliked, but by several parameters (originality, completeness of presentation, usefulness, etc.) in a percentage ratio indicate the compliance with these parameters.

Secondly, you can provide an interface similar to Facebook so that the webmaster himself places a button with such an assessment. Most likely, on the pages where there will certainly be a negative review, such “buttons” will not be put, or they will place fakes, but this is also an occasion to give a certain bonus page that was not afraid to be evaluated.

Of course, you will probably have to solve the issue of protection against “cheating” of the rating, but I think that this is completely solved with a certain degree of accuracy with respect to the results.

Most likely, the idea is already being implemented and not today or tomorrow we will connect to the site content assessment matrix, so I propose to evaluate who will launch it first? Google? Yandex? Or even Bing?
