Google opened an e-book store

Google today opened its long-awaited e-book store, dubbed Google eBookstore .

In total, over 3 million books are available for download, including hundreds of thousands of paid books available for purchase. Available books include both classic and recent bestsellers.

Paid books at the moment can be purchased only in the US, but free free books can be read all over the world. As an example - Arthur Conan Doyle's Adventures of Sherlock Holmes .

Books can be read using a browser reader or using specially released applications for Android and iOS. They can customize the font, its size, switch between day and night mode, and also set the line spacing.
