Google will turn off the hint for "pirated" requests

At the request of the RIAA, Google agreed to introduce some copyright protection measures .

1. All requests for blocking information on the DMCA Act will be reviewed within 24 hours. At the same time, the appeals mechanism for those whose content was unreasonably deleted will be improved.

2. Autocomplete search queries on terms closely related to piracy will be blocked. At the same time, Google recognizes that it is not easy to determine exactly which terms are used to search for pirated content.

For example, now at the request of “Start”, the auto-filling first of all offers “Start to watch online”. On request “Iron Man” in fourth place - “Iron Man 2 torrent”. That is, Google as if prompts to search for pirated content, which annoys copyright holders.

3. Improved anti-piracy supervision in the AdSense system. According to the rules, contextual advertising has always been forbidden to place on sites with illegal content. However, these rules were violated everywhere for objective reasons (it is difficult to assess the legality or illegality of content for millions of sites). Now a special mechanism will be created so that right holders can quickly identify such sites - and they will be excluded from the AdSense program.

4. Experiments will continue in the field of previewing authorized content .

All these features will be implemented in the coming months.
