Android 2.2 is finally ahead of 2.1
According to the statistics just published on Android Developers, Android 2.2 has finally surpassed 2.1.
2.2 is now used by 43.4% of all android devices, while the share of 2.1 is almost 4% less - 39.6%. The total share of 2.1 and 2.2 is 83%. Shares of Android 1.5 and 1.6 continue to decline, they have 6.3% and 10.6%, respectively.
Of course, we are already on the verge of another version of Android - 2.3, although no one yet knows the exact date of its release. But after that, it will probably take several months before it appears on most phones. And you can hope for a speedy complete disappearance of 1.5 and 1.6.
