Social startup “Grandma-Online” - results, thanks, and plans for the future
Last year (April 2009) I wrote about the St. Petersburg project “Grandma Online”, in which I myself participate. The project is dedicated to free education of pensioners, veterans, blockade and disabled people in computer literacy. There are only more veterans and retirees who want to master the computer, we also began to set off premises other than the example of last year, so that the system administrators and those who want to teach, in general, everyone who is ready to help with anything will be welcomed by us with joy. For example, we have classes in almost all districts of the city, and in some not one at a time, but there is not enough time and energy in the technical department to maintain them, so sysadmins living next to the classes and ready to look every two to three weeks for prevention, we are very help out. In this regard, I appeal with a request - if someone rusts an unnecessary car such as a Zhiguli “four” or a UAZ “loaf” (to fit more computers) in repair state, then we will be very grateful for the opportunity to alleviate our transportation problems. There are a lot of abandoned cars on the roadsides of the city - why should they be wasted.
