Creating QML files is an incredibly fun task, but quite often it’s problematic to smash the wonderful Photoshop templates that the designer sent you into the complete Qt Quick interface. Would it be great if we could automate this process? I thought so too, and wrote a couple of useful scripts. The first is a Photoshop script. Just put it together with other scripts, and you will have a new item in the “Export QML” menu, with which you can transfer the scene into one QML file with Text or Image elements from each layer. The script can also be used for vector graphics, as in Adobe Illustrator there is a convenient option to export to Photoshop.
I made a small demo video to better demonstrate how this works in practice:
I, of course, are just working on it, so use at your own peril and risk. However, as you can see, it is already quite possible to use it. The code can be downloaded here .
Of course, not everyone can take advantage of Adobe Photoshop. Fortunately, there is an open source alternative - GIMP, which serves more or less for the same purpose, and allows you to import from Photoshop. And I made a similar plugin for GIMP. It can be found here . And, as I just noticed, someone posted a demo video: ')
I publish at the request of my friend who has no account on Habré.
Thanks for the karma, we meet the author of the translation. Hi, surik ! :-)
