Debian GNU / Linux 5.0.7 released

debian logo Despite the upcoming change in the distribution status of the 6.0 branch (codename “Squeeze”) from being tested to stable, the Debian development team does not forget about the current stable release.
On November 27, 2010, the next seventh update of the stable release of Debian GNU / Linux, codenamed "Lenny", was introduced .
Here are the most important changes included in the release.
DSA-2125 for the OpenSSL package (buffer overflow), DSA-2122 for the glibc package (Local privilege escalation), DSA-2120 for the PostgreSQL 8.3 package (Privilege escalation), DSA-2118 for the Subversion package (Authentication bypass), DSA-2111 for Squid 3 (denial of service), DSA-2109 for Samba (buffer overflow), DSA-2104 for Quagga (denial of service).
As always, ISO images will fall on the mirrors in the coming days, but you can upgrade with apt now.
