Yesterday's “black friday” for torrent trackers was not limited to a
guilty verdict for The Pirate Bay. Another unpleasant event occurred: in the morning, an awesome picture appeared on
Torrent-Finder.com with a notification that “this domain was withdrawn by ICE — Homeland Security Investigations” by a court decision. Forum owners face up to ten years in prison and a fine of up to $ 2,000,000.

In this case, it is interesting that Torrent-Finder.com did not have any torrent files or torrent tracker. The site actually did not even contain links to pirated torrents. The search worked here, but its results were issued in separate frames, into which content from third-party sites was loaded. So to prove something in court will be quite difficult.
“My domain was withdrawn without any prior complaint or warning from the court,”
says the site owner, whose identity has not yet been disclosed. At some point, the site administrator discovered that the DNS record for his site had changed. Hoster GoDaddy had no idea why this happened and could not provide a clear explanation, they said that this initiative comes directly from ICANN.

Torrent-Finder.com continues to work at
Torrent-Finder.info .
As it turned out later, several dozen more domains were simultaneously withdrawn on Friday morning, including 2009jerseys.com, cartoon77.com, lifetimereplicas.com, handbag9.com, dvdprostore.com, etc. (
full list ). Everyone got a message from Homeland Security Investigations with the same content.
