About a year ago I was digging in my archive and found a disc with about three thousand games for the ZX Spectrum. It was a holiday, and an idea came to my mind: to make a site-gallery of Speccy loading screens.
As a result, a script was written that tore out the pictures from the archives and carefully put them in a separate daddy.
It turned out more than 2,000 images, including pixel art masterpieces.

But on the web, it looked very poor:

A week ago, I returned to the domain
zx-art.ru and now this is a completely different story ...
I began by cleaning out all the trash and leaving only those pictures that are associated with fond memories, or that show the capabilities of the Spectrum graphics and human thought. There are only 174 images left out of more than 2,000.
From the point of view of the organization of the gallery, it seemed to me that it was necessary not to give reduced copies, but fragments of the original boot screen with a pop-up hint for the name of the game.
It was also decided to make the site one-page by uploading screenshots via Ajax.
Undoubtedly, I did not intend to spend millions or even thousands of rubles on the resuscitation of the project, therefore the “design” is conceived only in such a way as not to distract from viewing the graphics.
The resource was completed a couple of days ago. But still something was missing. What else was famous for the ZX Spectrum besides games? Of course, music! I selected several tracks and inserted a player into the template. It has become much more fun.
