One of the unknown web projects made by Google’s employees is
DropMocks (named, obviously, by analogy with Dropbox): an amazingly simple and conceptual way of publishing images. Just drag one or more pictures from the desktop to the browser - and get links. It works amazingly fast and even without registration. Easier, probably already impossible. A photo gallery with dozens of photos is created in a couple of seconds.

The service is made exclusively on CSS and Javascript, without the use of Flash. The author is
