Zuckerberg's first domain sold for $ 30,201

The online auction for the FaceMash.com domain was completed , where the first project of Mark Zuckerberg was posted, which he wrote when he was a Harvard student a few years ago. On that site, the faces of beautiful female students were compared, and then their rating was compiled using a special formula.

As all viewers of the film “Social Network” know, Zuckerberg soon became interested in a new project called TheFaceBook (now Facebook) and left Harvard. On the former site, he completely forgot. So much so that he didn't even pay for the renewal of the domain name. The new owner of the site (a certain Raul Jane (Rahul Jain)) didn’t think long enough to put a domain up for auction, relying on demand fueled by the just-released feature film. And I did not lose: the sale price was $ 30,201.

The buyer is unknown, but the owners of the auction site assure that he is not a representative of Facebook or Sony Pictures.
